This is a Trivet (you put hot plates or pots on it to protect your table) I made for a charity auction. It is loosely based on a mascot of one of the Michigan college teams.

Thank you. The charity auction it is going to will raise money for our local library which has some wonder programs for kids.

So I hope somebody will like it bid high.

I would have done the logo with the big M (not sure if that is U of M) but I couldn't find any yellow tile and I didn't have enough blue tile.

Give me a break, it is for charity and I didn't even know what college it was from. Remember I just moved here.

This looks great! And who knows? Maybe a big fan of the movie "300" will take a liking to it, too! A lovely item to make for a charity--a lot of work went into it, I know!--best of luck getting a good bid for it! :D

Yes, that is true. I just saw that 300 movie spoof. I just crack up every time I hear "This is Sparta" and then the actor kicks Britney Spears down the pit of death.

And why exactly do they have that pit? And why isn't there a guard rail around it? I mean children and small pets could fall into it.

I guess the pit of death makes as much sense as having a reactor thermal vent in the throne room of the Death Star. ;)
